no one asked
 to come to this place
but here we are
  together
whether by fate
  chance or
  accident
we arrive
  in an illustrious
  sea of intrigue
curiosity
  grips us
holds fast dreams
  of unpredictable
  futures
laugh
cry
pain
anger
emotions
  bind and guide
  their precious cargo
trials and
  tribulations
triumphs and
  failures
lead
  to an end
  we all must face
dust returning
  to itself
to start again
renewed

questions
  now stir
if a purpose
  can be found
while we plod
  through this life

why must many suffer
where an abundance
can go around

why some kill to kill
hurt to hurt

working together
sustaining our home
creates tomorrow
